Have you heard of Garth Mix's Old Kingdom books? The first one, Sabriel is self contained and the audio books of the first three books are read by Tim Curry! Its got a pretty unique magic system with necromancy as an integral cornerstone, and extremely realistic teenage characters.
And Fiona and Cake is about a dorky guy rearranging his image of himself after realizing he really was responsible for The Divorce. You can really see our generation of writers aging here as there was at least one other major animated production that year also about this (Scott Pilgrim Takes Off)
Yeah they cover a lot of ground! There's a lot of stuff in the final seasons/specials about death and grief and how inexorable march of time crystalizing your memories into your most precious treasure, how you can't recapture your misspent youth, etc. it grew up with its audience but kept the goofs.

My partner used to work for a fancy shaving soap and safety razor shop, writing copy, testing and reviewing products, so we're quite familiar with Shaving Enthusiasts. We've tried the whole suite of products, (we even have a straight razor and a strop), and this little Conair really impressed us.
If y'all ever want a new toy that gets the same results, I gotta recommend this thing. It's incredibly effective and gets a close enough shave to count as dermaplaning, even on my peach fuzz. It was for my partner but now I don't have to get nicks and burns on my legs from the safety razor.

I agree. You can tell they were running out of time and money in the final act. The first act is stellar, the second great, but the final act, which seems like it should be a whole new version of act one, ends up feeling like it's missing big chunks of story and gameplay.

I've touched 100% ramie yarn, but that's not feeling a finished fabric, let alone how wearing ramie clothing would feel. It remains an uncommon fiber so it's much less accessable than other chi chi materials like linen or silk; Uniqlo has $50 linen shirts! Cheap 100% ramie just don't exist yet!

Morty saw a cat outside and even though he sees that guy every day, I now have to be on high alert for the next 48 hours so he doesn't transfer his sudden anxious fury about this cat he has seen nearly every day for the last five or six years onto the geriatric cat he's lived with his entire life.
Can you just go to a vet and get your cat's ears flushed? Not for any medical reason, I just think she'd really enjoy it. Eat rubs are her fave, like drooling, going limp, nictating membrane showing in the eyes. She even loves it when I clean her ears with cotton buds (don't try this at home)
Mine was being shot in the face with an arrow by some kid while I was an infant. I didn't even notice the scar until my family brought up the story when I was like 12. It's pretty faint, but it's right under my eye socket so you can imagine how incandescent with rage my mother was in the story.

She's 15 now and I've had her since she was a 3 week old, so I'm not going to be able to avoid her. She lies on me for like an hour a day when I'm in bed, and I'm just gonna tank that. The main concern is ingesting any of her excretions, which is easy except for when she drools and shakes her head.
Cat successfully irradiated. 4 hour round trip for a 15 minute radioactive iodine treatment for her hyperthyroid issues. We're supposed to shun her for about two weeks to avoid radiation exposure buuut I know her dose was less than 10mcSv an hour, around 24x the amount we are exposed to in a day...
Turns out she was just upset I wasn't sitting next to her, I swapped got he back seat at a rest stop and she was completely silent the rest of the trip 🙄

Physical comedy and Rowan Atkinson's mugging are perfectly delightful when enjoyed under one's own volition, but it really wears on you after the fifth or sixth time you're unavoidably subjected to the same stimulus. In hindsight tho it IS very funny that I was dissociating to escape Mr. Bean.
This woman was the go-to substitute for nearly my entire time in primary school, so I watched the same 4-8 episodes of Mr. Bean and the Wallace and Gromit shorts, *dozens* of times over 7 years. You know it's bad when an ESL Anglophone child in Canada going "I wish I was in French class right now."
This thing made me hate Mr. Bean to this day. We had a sub who would spend maybe 5 minutes talking down at us and then for the rest of the class was Mr Bean, and she'd sometimes be in charge of us for /hours/. The understimulation gave me low bp headaches and lights out made it impossible to draw.

The implants last for 3 years, so it makes perfect sense to me to supplement a treatment that loses efficacy 4-5 years into it's 8 year lifespan, with the resulting overlaps meaning you don't gotta have medical abortion levels of bleeding every time you re-up and never lose the pregnancy prevention.
My HIUD stopped being effective in treating my devastating periods so I got the hormone implant as a supplement. Apparently this is very rarely done but I specifically wanna avoid tearing up my internal organs. HIUDs prevent pregnancy for up to 8yrs, but the hormonal part dissipates in like 4-5yrs
