The first Tacoma Narrows Bridge nearing completion in 1940. "Galloping Gertie" would only last 4 months after opening when it collapsed in high winds. It wouldn't be rebuilt until 1950, due to rationing of steel because of WWII. 📸Harbor History Museum

Building One clock tower at Great Lakes Naval Training Center near Waukegan, Illinois. I was stationed there for 3 years as an instructor at Electronics Technician "A" School. My twin sons were born at the base hospital there in 1977. My Mom went to boot camp there in the early 50's.
