We've watched LGBTQIA2S+ face loss after loss of rights to disease, misinformation, phobia, hate. We've watched natives lose children and women to trafficking or to police and "starlight tours" or to the gov taking water and land or to eugenics to erase us.
We've watched friends lose everything to substance abuse, not because they were junkies, but because there was no healthcare for them. We've watched children suffer as they're friends were gunned down around them and no one helped end their violence.
The biggest problem is we've been reading shit like this for decades. And while for some it's new and pulls on their heart, for others.. We've watched homeless kids in the US suffer because the court would not help unless they were put in foster care. The city gave no help. The church gave no help.
