I am looking at places and things to do with my mom outside of LVLUP next year. There are so many things planned since we will have a day of exploring and fun prior to the convention.
The sad reality is that we are at a disadvantage. As a queer woman who is the daughter of immigrants myself, everything about my identity is being threatened. No matter what I do present or future, I will be seen as someone to be rid of all rights and seen as an "enemy" rather than a human.
I know sometimes I shouldn’t, But It’s hard not to bite back about shit when I’m a creator of queer stories in a time where queerness is under attack. I’m the daughter of an immigrant when people are being stolen away. I’m a woman seeing my rights are a constant debate. Maybe I’m just PISSED off.
