Which is all that was ultimately announced today isn't it? They're not building shit, just putting stuff in someone else's DC. You know, usually when I see people claim work they didn't do it's when they're fucked and trying to hide it. Hooton said Luxon is too stupid for the job and he was right.

what I want to know is what the fuck is this. they appear to claim an NZ region when they don't have one? we'd use an NZ region for data location regulations/reasons, so it actually fuckin matters. but i note we haven't enabled it on our account (we mainly use sydney) so maybe we knew it was bogus

Absolutely wild to have appointed a director who can't have access to certain board documents, must receive a separate vetted board agenda pack and can't be present for some board discussions. And his company's donation to NZ First has, apparently, nothing to do with his appointment.

This is the fundamental thing that people who spout on about private enterprise being more efficient ignore: the need to extract profit is a fundamental, built-in, inefficiency. All else being equal public sector can operate _more efficiently_. The only problem usually is management quality.
