(4) It's something that kind of haunts me. I should have been more present for the woman and her kids. Even though she was completely in the wrong, mistakes happen, you know? And it wasn't the kids' fault. I just feel yucky about my lack of response.
(3) As I watched the paramedics check out the woman and her kids, I realized I could have shown them more empathy and concern. Was I frustrated that she caused an accident? Probably. But was there a racial element as well? Did I empathize more with the other guy because he looked more like me?
(2) So we went and helped the guy out from behind the airbag and talked to him. The cops showed up and ushered us to the nearest parking lot and we stayed with the no-fault guy. The woman who ran the light has insisted it was green. We had dashcam footage otherwise.
(1) Witnessed a car crash last year. A car in front of us ran a light midway through the cycle, apparently just not paying attention. It was a non-white lady with two kids in the back. We checked on her (the kids were upset and she was comforting them), then we were reminded of the no-fault driver.
(2) I took this into consideration in planning a 4 month campaign. That seems doable to me, but somehow feels invalid or not enough. I know we can't all run 20 years campaigns, but I wish I could hold out at least a year!
(1) Late coming back to this. I burn out quickly at a lot of things, it would seem. 30+ is the cumulative number of sessions. 10 to 15 sessions is maybe how far I can make it before I crash from the pressure.

(5) I tried to explain to my DM, why put the signs there if you're going to block them behind a check and slow down the story? Why have the NPCs chide us for not reading them? If you want us to interact with the circus in town, for example, why block the information that the circus is in town?
(4) After all of this mayhem (and 6 beers, by the way), we are able to steal what we wanted and make our getaway. My other question is how do DMs handle perception checks, because EVERYTHING is a perception check. We walk into a town plastered with signs. Perception check. Below 10? Can't read 'em.
(3) Two of our players are insta-killed, but DM says, "No, I won't kill you. You're okay. The caravan drivers slap you awake." So... why the 8d6 in the first place? The druid calls for help from a wolf spirit and it kills literally everyone in the caravan, leaving us alone with one guard.
(2) We are shocked and not sure what to do, but I guess we're fighting. DM had the battle map all ready to go from the start. I cast Fog Cloud to make an escape, to which one of the caravan members casts a Fireball into the center of everyone. For reference, we are level 1.
(1) #DnD people. Is my DM's style flawed, or is this a me problem? We encounter guards and a caravan, and we want to steal something in the caravan. Guards want to search the caravan. Caravan says no. We side with the guards and the guards say, "Cool, we're killing everyone in the caravan then."
Just a reminder that the Trump administration is shitting on the constitution on the daily, the Supreme Court won't stop it, and Republicans in congress are enabling the destruction of the US's enshrined values. That is all.
