Some agateware mugs and chalices in progress. Nothing beats the simplicity of some good old black and white. #pottersofbluesky #yeglocal #yegart

Thatās so kind!! Iām also extremely eager to fire them. Iām contemplating doing a luster firing with them. Now I need to decide if I do it all over or only only the hats / accessories.

I was thrilled to discover today that I am in fact not bad at pottery I was just using bad clay š. This happens to me more often than Iād like to admit. I stubbornly insist on using clay that is short or too dry. I used some super fresh reclaim today and it was wonderful! #pottersofbluesky

I try to keep my mugs leather hard before attaching handles but that very well may be a contributing factor. Iāll need to give that a try. Thanks!

Part 2 of The Making of a Mimic mug. I couldnāt be more pleased with how this little guy is turning out š„¹. Iām breaking the first rule of pottery and getting attached. #dnd #ttrpg #pottery #pottersofbluesky #mimic

Thank you so much! Such wonderful feedback and suggestions. It is cracking and it happens pretty well every time. They are quite small and are usually right around the seem of the attachment. Iāll try your slip suggestion next time I get cracks!

Iāve definitely heard of using vinegar but Iāve always used sodium silicate. Have you heard of anyone using bisque fix on porcelain?

Please say a prayer for my mugs š Iāve tried EVERYTHING and continue to have attachment issues. Potters what are your most unhinged solutions for handles? Iām not talking about slowly drying them out, using magic water or paper clay. #pottery #pottersofbluesky #ceramics

Hi friends. If you are still using AI, just know you donāt need it. You are only damaging yourself and the planet. Now is not the time to dull your critical thinking skills. We also kinda need water to survive

This is maybe my fifth attempt at a mimic mug in my short time as a potter. In previous iterations, something has gone terribly wrong during firing or glazing. Say a little prayer for this little guy. #pottery #dnd #yeg #mimic

Have you dove into the world of hennins? So whimsical and so much variety!

Will there ever be a need for a flail inspired butter dish? No. Did that stop me from spending HOURS on one. Also no! Please feast thine eyes upon the the spikey fruit of my labour. Fellow artists, what ridiculous project are you working on?? #medieval #renfaire #art #pottery #flail

#Summerween is in full swing in my potting shed. It may be August but pottery takes forever, hoping to have a full spooky collection for end of September/ early August. #ghosts #pottery #yeglocal

Meet the artist! My name is Kiera and I am the artist behind The Peevish Possum. While Iāve always been drawn to outlets for creativity and expression, pottery has really been my primary interest since 2022. Iām a big fan of all things nerdy from board games, video games and TTRPGās.
