the way I made a transmasc & transfem feed and they're both inundated with sexual posts and porn is honestly kinda depressing ngl. like. both of them. idk sometimes it's a little sobering thinking about how I can only mitigate, but never fully prevent, certain types of bias from existing within me. and obviously that's true for everyone. but it's like a weird loneliness somehow bc it can make you feel quite helpless.
I read about things like implicit bias frequently, and usually it's easy for me to stomach and confront about myself. but I do have moments where it's just like... isn't it fucked up that we do these things to other people? and there's only so much we can do to stop it?

I’ve noticed that both transmasc and transfem people, esp those earlier in transition who don’t have close or many friends who are transitioning “the other way,” are very prone to romanticizing the experience of being assigned the opposite binary sex, and thinking it would be better/easier

I am haunted by an article I read years ago about a trans man who unexpectedly went into premature labor. At the hospital, they wouldn't believe he was pregnant because "clearly he was a man". His baby died. Preventably. Because no one in the medical staff knew transmascs existed. Erasure kills.
