All these images of cars being set on fire, rocks and bottles being thrown at law enforcement and disobeying orders to disperse are playing right into Trump’s hands.
Actually, most polling would suggest a majority do support current immigration policies, which is part of the problem.

I don’t actually think we will see widespread price increases from these tariffs. I think it’s more likely that it will (and already has) cause uncertainty for businesses which will, in turn, cause them to cut inventories and reassess their business models.

When you are struggling just to put food on the table, raising your kids and getting a good job, these types of things aren’t what you’re concerned with. And that is why the Dems. are in the position they’re in. They’ve lost touch with most Americans.
Unfortunately this doesn’t help with the insanely high cost of living (mainly due to so many taxes) in the state. I was born and raised in Illinois and while I liked living there, I got out of there because it’s simply unaffordable.
