Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. I'm glad to be here. Debilitating chronic pain and other symptoms made me not want to be shortly before my vasculitis diagnosis and for a year after. It can get better. I hope for all chronically ill people to suffer a little less.

My friend saw someone initially denied a vaccine in NYC yesterday at Duane reade despite the the person being visibly elderly and disabled. The person eventually got one but the Pharmacist did not acknowledge they had a right to one.

Availability of vaccines is one thing, getting them covered by insurance is another. Frustratingly, people are being denied coverage even in states like MA which now requires insurers to cover COVID vaccines.

A little more on this. In some states requiring COVID vaccine prescriptions, there are CVS MinuteClinics that offer a workaround: AZ, DC, FL, GA, NC, VA Unfortunately CV does not have MinuteClinics in LA, ME, OR, UT, or WV

Tl;dr, yes you can. Just make an appointment and go. The answer to the question of whether you're at risk of severe COVID is "yes." If the pharmacy gives you guff or asks for a prescription, go elsewhere. And report them to CDPHE. The governor's order is clear.

Just a reminder- an important reason to put alt text on images is that people can mute images through the alt text. The main source of the horrible drawing Trump did that’s every other post today is from the WSJ and doesn’t have alt text so no one trying to block it can. Many people want to block it
