Agree they should have got it in writing, simple contract law. But imagine your company promising you a massive career move, promotion and salary increase, then denying a conversation ever took place and telling your colleagues you're lying. But we don't know what was promised to Isak either, even Howe has suggested those conversations did in fact take place and Isak may have been given some assurances. So in that case, Isak is equally innocent, albeit his subsequent behaviour was abhorrent.
