I love the convenience of streaming, but for any movie or TV show that's really important to me, I want to own a physical copy. The quality is often noticeably better, and it is much less likely to disappear suddenly if a license expires or a company goes out of business.

nah... level playing field is KEY for F1. anything else is artificial and would also allow a 1 driver team (cough RB) to unfairly swing the main race their favour
more like the field would have a separate pool of parts for the sprint alone. then there is no penalty. but how about this... not the main race drivers but their third drivers...
they are also limited on turbos ecu, gearbox, batteries...
over the season it will be huge. they are only allowed 4 engines PER YEAR.
because some of them wont be in the sprint races and therefore will have less milage on components. imagine Nor and Pia. Pia always in sprints... hes going to be at a disadvantage in the main championship (races) being down on power and engine modes during main races
set up is not the issue mileage on the components is. F1 engines and gearboxes degrade with use. if you qualify for the sprint, you will be down on horse power somewhere in the season. that said if they had separate sprint engines, etc then all the problems go away, but i dont see that happ
sounds great on paper but if it is only half the field it becomes a penalty as no one will want to put the duty cycles on the engine and drive train

PeterF Hamilton's Nights Dawn Trilogy for me just pips the Commonwealth saga because who doesnt love a book with a couple of great spaceships. Richard Morgan's Kovacs novels will always be a better story read than watched in the related tv series and Al Reynolds Revelation Space. just plain bonkers

i dont think you can ever have clear unequivocal rules with racing beyond car specs and weight. Everything on track during a race is by its very nature situational. the drivers know this, the teams know this. part of racing is getting away with it, or not.

on the previous restart that Pia was aggressive on the braking, but the stewards decided on a watching brief. SC lights went out later this time and Pia, wanting to run at the next corner, wanted to let the sc go. broke a little harder.

Yeah... what's wrong with more purposely designed tracks that are fit for purpose and allow not just great overtakes but also good spectating areas (preferably in countries fans actually want to turn up...) I really hope they can make something good out of South Africa. Also, BRING BACK SEPANG!
When you see the crowds at Silverstone have been in the 100,000s every year since 2021, it makes you wonder why the UK hasn't invested in another Grade 1 track. The US has four, Italy has three, Spain has three (soon to be four...) #F1 #BritishGP

the US is huge in comparison to this pokey little island and with the calendar as congested as it is (spa is already on rotation), i cant see there being any chance of a 2nd UK race.
for the price to come down there would need to be 2 races in the UK in one year which very unlikely considering. More likely that another track would mean rotation
