The enforced route structure is great for grouping compliments logically to a route, but it sure makes structuring complex route hierarchies a giant pain

If the point of integrating a web framework into your developer jumpstart is to make things easier, for God's sake pick one that gets out of your way!
I say coerced because to build a Shopify app the the glide path is Remix - there's some pre-built integration that makes things easier. But I'm not sure how they could have chosen a slower "starter pack"
Currently I have two projects, one I was "coerced" into using remix and the other I chose next.js. I find Next to be vastly simpler, it's blazing fast, and if anything functionally more complete in what it offers.
I'm trying to write a react app for the first time in a decade and I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would choose the Remix framework. It's terrifically slow and unnecessarily prescriptive in route definition and client vs server data interactions.
