For Labor Day, I wanted to talk about the success of Paizo's unionization. We formed United Paizo Workers in October 2021, won voluntary recognition, and ratified our first contract in 2023. This happened because of solidarity, good union training from CWA, and empowerment of the workers.
Finished our test speedrun of Abomination Vaults. It went great, which is to say we had some rotten luck that stress tested a couple potential choke points and we still beat the whole thing. This is going to work out! Currently planning for a couple days in October to a livestream run #pf2e #ttrpg

Not really. The books don't describe that you're unable to tell the difference between dim light and bright light, but that's exactly what would happen if we just made it appear the same. Mechanically things just aren't concealed to you, which we don't automate get anyways.
We used to make dim light appear bright to creatures with LLV but it made the lighting look awful, with hard breaks between light and dark. Since the rules are silent on what it actually looks like we've just opted to make it not wreck scene lighting.
When Paizo unionized, I got a raise amounting to thousands of dollars. I also get a higher cost of living salary increase every year in addition to my seniority salary increase. I have incredible job security. I have advocates if I have grievances. Unionizing is hard and scary but so worth it.

How is anyone even supposed to get a job? Sent in hundreds of applications and nothing. Got an interview at one place and got ghosted after being told to expect HR to call with an offer within 48 hours. Recommended by a manager in the department hiring at one place and didn't even get an interview.

I prefer how 2e handled it, where things are less restricted to different scales of powers, and allowed to increase in power based on the number of actions an ability requires rather than just making more powerful things encounter or daily powers.
As someone who loves PF2e but didn't enjoy D&D4e I think the biggest similarity is an attempt to make combat more dynamic. You have abilities you can use that come across sort of like the powers in 4e, with 1/10 minute abilities and focus spells sort of filling the encounter power slots.
Version 8.0 of the Starfinder Playtest module is out. As a reminder, if you want to keep playing by playtest rules you should lock the module rather than updating to 8.0, since this update removes all the content that was released in SF Player Core, leaving just the Tech Core playtest and NPCs in.
AAAS has Science and Tech policy fellowships and some resources for it on their site. There's also Generation Data, a progressive data science group that runs trainings in people interesting in learning data science for progressive causes, though that's more technical and it's an in person thing.

In Sonic 3D Blast, in order to pass Sega's game quality check, a programmer redirected the error handling to a level select screen to make bugs look like you just found a secret so the game wouldn't get rejected for crashing.
