Today I did another new thing with my skateboard. I went to a skatepark! (admittedly at 5.30am). Wow it's so smooth, I think I could progress quicker than on the uneven ground I've been practising on. I'm battling my demons all the time. So each time I go out doing something I've won. 😀

I don't see it often but today I saw a bird of prey not taking a Rook attacking it, it actually fought back. Unlike Buzzards who rarely fight back the small Sparrowhawk gave as good as it got. Nice one Sparrowhawk 👊

Doing a skateboard exercise which entails standing on it with one leg to strengthen ankle and lower leg. Seriously... I can't do that on the ground and they want me doing that on a board for 5 minutes which moves side to side 🤣 I did say I was over 50 so give us a chance precious, give us a chance 😬
When I finished and was packing up I heard loud thuds. Think it was deer trying to jump a hedge. Saw a fat Dalek (me with a headtorch) and changed their minds. Can't say my first skateboarding moment outside of the house was uneventful. AND I didn't fall down.
I should say I did go for a walk at 4 am last week with my skateboard down a country lane. Freaked a cat out on the way and again on the way back. Guess it was used to having that space to itself at that time in the morning. Had an owl for music, and just had Jupiter and Venus laughing at me.
So I'm trying to get into skateboarding and the biggest problem I have, and it stopped me joining a chess club, is me. I'm afraid to be seen, I don't want people laughing at me... you know the drill. It's fucking annoying and frustrating. I really hate being me 😖

Just in case you didn't know what a baby Ladybird looks like this is it. A menacing spiky creature that munches on aphids. The most amazing part is watching it transform into a Ladybird. Nature is magic! If I manage to find the inbetween I'll post it.
