Last thing I will post tonight about the HPV vaccine is this: It not only prevents cervical cancer, but also penile cancer and anal cancer. So boys should get it, too. (Also, statistical modelling clearly shows that is boys are vaccinated, cervical cancer is eliminated faster)

I am 76 & I have had most of these vaccinations at one time or another. Also vaccinations against Covid, Tetanus, plus Cholera & Yellow Fever when travelling in foreign countries. These prevented me catching horrible diseases & dying a gruesome death. They did not harm me, they protected me!

Thankfully we planted 1,000 + trees and shrubs 18 years ago when we had lots of moisture and no extreme heat/drought. The native stuff is doing ok other than birch that need more moisture.

They are hardy indeed but they have their limits in extreme situations as we had maybe 4 years ago. Late winter mild then a -40 slam. Did a lot of damage but new root shoots come back as the parent. Wind protection matters too.

I also read that tree form is more vulnerable to winter kill than shrub form. Mine are now looking like a raspberry row almost. I take out old stems and leave preferred shoots to grow.
