Going to the drive-in on Saturday night for a screening of Jaws! First time at the drive-in this year. Also likely going to smoke a bunch of chicken wings on Sunday with my brother. Glad that football is returning as well.
Yes. I had DVR'd it earlier that evening, and when the screen went dark, I thought the recording had screwed up. Sat there exasperated for a moment, then confusion hit as the credits began to roll. What an ending. Well, off to YouTube to watch it half a dozen times.
100% agreed. I wholeheartedly understand the issues fans have with Jason Goes to Hell, but I mostly love it anyway. The series desperately needed a shot of adrenaline at the time. For all of its issues, it has great gore effects and was so damn different when things had gotten a bit stale.
I saw this earlier today and as a result had "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" stuck in my head all day. (Yes, I had to look up how to spell that "correctly.") I hadn't thought of that song in so long!
I grabbed a copy when it was new, but really never got around to giving it much time. I really should fix that. Same thing with Red Dead Redemption 2.

Between 'Knots Landing' being a weekly event on our TV, and Friday the 13th Part VII being the first film in that series I saw on the big screen, Lar Park Lincoln was a very familiar face for me as a kid. Cannot forget Freddy's Nightmares. Rest in Peace.

I watched The Coffee Table on Shudder. Maybe not horror strictly speaking, but a horror adjacent black comedy. It was pretty wild. Kinda like the premise of an '80s sitcom, but instead of trying to hide a stain on the new couch, you're trying to conceal maybe the worst thing ever from your spouse.
When I was a kid I got one of these in my Easter basket and felt like I hit the jackpot. The times are a changin’.

Watching Spaced for the first time in a couple of decades. Discovering and watching this back in like 2005 was one of the best parts of getting a region free DVD player back then. My cheap-o Phillips DVP642 has long since stopped spinning discs, but Tubi came through. Such a classic show.

A number of years back when my sister-in-law lost her dad, someone in their family did similar things with a few articles of his clothing. It was really nice. I think about him whenever I see them in their house to this day.

Top Secret! is absolutely worth a watch. It is a somewhat overlooked classic, at least compared to some of its contemporaries.
