She's ismailli. That never happened in her timeline. Ismailis believed that Islam and Hinduism were syncretic and there was no hardline between the religions. Hence, they had names like Krishna Bhanji (Sir Ben Kingsley's real name). Read this en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satpanth

I'm sorry I missed this. Responding in case someone else finds this. 1. Dress modestly (no shorts or dress above the knees) 2. No need to cover your head. Ismailis don't. 3. Avoid the colour black.

Are you mixing him up with someone else? The dude was a saint. Read his address to the canadian parliament to get a sense.

Born into it. Shia Islam believes Mohammed picked Ali as his successor, who picked his kid as the next imam (Muhamed's grandkid) who would keep picking his kid until we get to today. So he would be something like the 50x grandkid of Muhammed.

I have nothing bad to say about him as far as spiritual leaders go. He was both progressive based on his parliamentary address and did huge amounts of charitable work. I know people who went to Aga Khan schools in East Africa, and the museum in Toronto is a gem.
