I got into a debate with a right-winger who called everything ‘woke’. When I asked him to define it, he actually gave something close to the original meaning. So I said, “So woke just means to care about other people equally,.. and that’s a bad thing?”

I challenge the premise. The thinking part can be a powerful modifier to the doing. If I can do a 60 minute job in 30 minutes because I spent a lot of time thinking about it, then that value caries over into every time I do it. Stay active for health, but never stop thinking.
The real value is in learning and understanding the material. The grades may not reflect that well depending on the evaluation methods, but they do enable you to get that piece of paper. You’re smart. Don’t worry too much about individual grades. If you love the material, you’ll be fine.

As a former civil engineer I can tell you that regulations around light pollution and the use of lamps like this are increasingly common. Many, however we’re installed decades ago and simply haven’t been replaced yet.
