The snappy dialogue, the cheeky-smart main character and easy-to-read writing style makes this very good entertainment.
July reads 9/9 đđ #booksky Trey Stone - A state of despair âââââ A great second instalment to the Columbus Archives. The story is very fast paced and to call the book a page turner is an understatement. I flew through it, just to know what happens next.
July reads 8/9 đđ #booksky Carissa Broadbent - The Ashes and the star-cursed king ââââ Definitely a page-turner and a nudge better than the first in the series. A good balance of action, character-development and romance content makes this really good entertainment in the romantasy genre.
July reads 7/9 đđ #booksky Mary Shelley - Frankenstein âââââ An absolute brilliant book considering the time it was written. Beautiful written and heartbreakingly read by Dan Stevens.
so the story will continue as the ending suggests as well. Easily read, maybe a bit too much repetition especially in the smutty chapters, but all in all a very entertaining book
July reads 6/9 đđ #booksky Laura Thalassa - The curse that binds ââââ An epic love story, a morally grey main character that will burn the world for his wife and a lot of enemies that want to stop them. I realized a bit too late that this is a prequel to a series (I guess just another I started)
Bonus for the narrator being exceptional which makes it so much easier to get hooked into the story
July reads 5/9 đđ #booksky Andrew Pyper - Oracle ââââ Very good entertainment Just the right mix of expense, creepy horror and character-development to get engaged. The story about a serial killer that turns somewhat supernatural.
It is an interesting time period but the writing was not really engaging. The second half is more about the sci-fi part of the story and reads (though sometimes heavy on physics and scientific explanations) much easier
July reads 4/9 đđ #booksky Cixin Liu - The three-body problem ââââ 3,5 stars A good story executed a bit strange and problematic in the beginning. The first half of the book is rather strange and more focused on the historical bit of China's Cultural revolution.

So if you need a riveting story with lots of story, this might not be for you. Because this is all the feels and all female: duty, disappointment, lust, rage, powerlessness and powerfulness. And most of all hunger
Rice has been on top of my list of favorite authors for a long time and the feeling her books give, is still unparalleled. But this is very close to it and deliciously so. This is a slow burn and a good more about vibes and feelings than action.
July reads 2/9 đđ #booksky V.E. Schwab - Bury our bones in the midnight soil âââââ It promises toxic vampire lesbians and that is what you get. When Schwab said that this is inspired by Anne Rice's vampires, I was intrigued but a tiny bit sceptic.
The story is engaging and although the main character is ok, I feel that the side character's steal the show, especially the Kienaris in the beginning. Will certainly continue the series
who turns out to be more than you think in the beginning. There are several groups of creatures and three god-like beings who created the world but then turned against each other, building up to wars between the people following each god.

Tchaikovsky Children of Time is fabulous. If you want something real heavy, try Hyperion by Dan Simmons

I finished "Air awakens" by Elise Kova on audiobook - the first instalment in a cute romantasy series. So started "Artificial wisdom" by Thomas Weaver next after seeing great reviews. It sound exciting
