I don't believe in doing ratings for these Watch-A-Longs since these are more to capture my "real time text reactions" and adding ratings on top of that just diminishes the fun value of watching and posting about these shows weekly for me.
This show had a lot to carry in terms of story progression. Building up hype for NXT Homecoming on top of the regular PLE build up for No Mercy. DIY returning was a pleasant surprise and of course, I can't be mad at Joe Hendry.
The show could have ended with Hank and Tank and Joe Hendry waving their arms in the air with the crowd....but they wanted to squeeze Oba and Ricky getting separated by security for the last 5 seconds of the show. #WWENXT #overdone
TBH, I didn't predict that Hank would summon Joe Hendry to come in with the assist. #WWENXT
Oh shit... MLG is now dead.
It's only going to be for homecoming. On the main WWE shows (Raw and Smackdown) they'll go back to using their shitty Def Rebel theme song.

WWE being covered by ESPN makes younger me feel justified in watching pro wrestling. While at the same time, it's in a post-cable streaming hellscape of a world we live in in 2025. It's like how I felt finally being able to see Monday Raw live and in person as an adult, and it's not the same.

I will admit, darkstate's promo tonight was possibly their best work yet. They still reek of "all presentation more than actual skill" as a collective, however, we got to actually learn more about this group. How they're more than the sneak attacks and flickering the lights on and off rapidly.

A majority of the voice cast doesn't sound exactly as they did back then. Some of the characters sound older because their voice actors are legitimately older. And in some cases they got replaced because of untimely circumstances.
Both Toby and Mike are still involved in their shows as voice actors. They no longer voice characters of color as the entire industry made that move years ago. Also, to expect someone like Khan to still have that fresh off the boat accent after all these years, is also pretty silly to me.
As a black guy, seeing people getting upset over an Asian man playing an Asian character in a realistic way (aka without the accent) is just as silly as when people were upset that Mike Henry was replaced as the voice of Cleveland Brown with an actual black man.
Hot Take: Khan's no voice isn't *that* bad. The only thing we had to compare it to is Toby Huss' impression of an asian man from over a decade ago.
