Poilievre doesn’t have enough experience to have a resume. Education: 10 years to complete undergrad. Work: n/a MP: 20 years converting oxygen to CO2. Experienced in buying fake whistle blowers and violating campaign spending laws. That’s all and I have 60 characters left over.

I think the Ontario NDP and Liberals failed to run on Trump, the same mistake Poilievre is making right now. Failure to understand the real ballot box question was their undoing.
uppercanadian.bsky.social (@uppercanadian.bsky.social) reply parent
A political relationship with Poilievre would be poison for Ford right now.
uppercanadian.bsky.social (@uppercanadian.bsky.social) reply parent
Absolutely. Just like the central bank. New Brunswick has promised to move in that direction after the former Conservative government made policy changes on the fly before asking Public Health to try to find evidence to support them.

Odd that he chose that model aircraft. It’s not made in Canada. He could have leased a plane built in Canada by Bombardier.
uppercanadian.bsky.social (@uppercanadian.bsky.social) reply parent
The CPC should be paying for it, but why isn’t this plane a built-in-Canada Bombardier? Poilievre can’t walk his own talk.

No-one should believe the United States with this claim about security. It’s not what this is about. Greenland, Ukraine, Canada, Panama…. It’s about plundering countries for their resources.

Translation: We’ll support countries that kiss the emperor’s ring without regard to the citizens of countries that don’t.

Seen ‘em. Time to remove the United States from five eyes.

Watching Mark Carney do the job is worth more in forming a positive, intelligent, thoughtful, competent, responsible image than a hundred staged campaign events. He’s the right guy and he shows it every day.
uppercanadian.bsky.social (@uppercanadian.bsky.social) reply parent
This is what I’d much rather see than campaign rallies: The Prime Minister, doing the job, focussed on what’s best for Canada. It’s clear who the best person will be to lead Canada through our country’s economic transition. It’s not the “Canada’s-broken” guy pitching policy he used to oppose.

It’s interesting that Americans think there will actually be midterms.

Nice tanking of the markets Donald. Is everyone tired of all the winning yet?

While CSIS indicates they have no evidence Poilievre knew about India’s actions, I find it hard to believe Poilievre was unaware. If India’s goal is future influence or leverage, why would a they interfere if the beneficiary of the interference didn’t know? There must be a quid pro quo somewhere.

The countdown is on for Republicans to bring up Hillary’s emails.

It’s fair and appropriate to condemn antisemitism. It would also be fair and appropriate to condemn and call for sanctions against the State of Israel for their actions. Both can be true at the same time.

There is a major opportunity to restore the Canadian pharmaceutical industry and primary research that was lost under Harper.

He’s removing generals that may oppose engaging in military action against US citizens and countries that have been solid American allies.

No one should fall for this BS. Poilievre is endorsed by Musk, Rogan and Jones. No way would Trump deviate except to try to lay a smoke screen. We all know Trump can’t help but lie when it suits him. Poilievre is Trump.

It boggles the mind. The entire world can see what is happening in the United States, yet its politicians and citizens remain clueless, disinterested or cowardly silent.
uppercanadian.bsky.social (@uppercanadian.bsky.social) reply parent
That is exactly what the rest of the world sees. It’s already here.

Democrats need to stop hiding and hold huge newsworthy rallies like Trump did in the Biden years. Turn the tide and flood his zone. Every, single, day. If you don’t start a loud visible resistance now your constitution will be meaningless by the end of the summer. There won’t be 2026 mid-terms.

If the conference is for an international organization its organizers should proactively move it to a location outside the United States.

Can we ascertain how much Trump’s imaginary trade deficit is growing due to the boycotting of American goods? To use more hockey slang, I think Trump is putting the puck in his own net.

During the pandemic the price of softwood lumber and building materials were inflated for reasons that no longer exist. What can be done to lower those prices again to help reinforce our economy through increased Canadian construction of much needed housing?

I don’t think the United States can be trusted anymore by the rest of the Five Eyes. The other countries should be carefully vetting anything they provide to, or get from, the U.S.

With the Administration asking Republican senators to avoid town halls due to constituent backlash against the Trump Administration, Democrats should now hold as many town halls as possible and invite all those disenfranchised republicans that voted for Trump. Make it news!

You forgot to mention Canadians are boycotting American products, plus Florida Oranges and Orange Juice are at the top of Canada’s tariff list.

uppercanadian.bsky.social (@uppercanadian.bsky.social) reply parent
Thank you for all the government’s efforts. The lower tariff rate on Canadian oil shows a clear weakness for the U.S. Administration. Can we not introduce a 15% export tax on oil three weeks from now? Won’t that equally share our pain across provinces and sectors while hitting Trump where it hurts?
