One thing that's really reassuring about SCOTUS is how their actual, real, serious, genuine position on ethics is "we are not bound by any mortal law nor any code or creed, this is our world, you merely live in it."
Newsom v. Trump: a federal court granted our injunction, blocking Trump’s illegal use of the military for domestic law enforcement. The ruling is clear: Trump is breaking the law by trying to create a national police force with himself as its chief.
Suggestion from prior activist work: Add a 5 minute political action item to each day, M-F, to protect public health. Ready to do more? Pick 3 things to do each week. Add both quick commitments (calls to your MoCs & governor) and bigger ones (write a letter, or attend a protest, zoom, or meeting).

This whole thread is just appalling. The hearing arises from the Trump admin conspiring with a foreign country to violate a federal court order in the middle of the night so it can deny due process to children who escaped dangerous circumstances.
JUST IN: Judge Sooknanan ordered the government to file a status report by 4 pm to address whether the children have been deplaned. DOJ blew the deadline. Now she orders them to show cause why they didn’t file the report in time — and sets new 6:30 pm deadline.
