🚨 Major shake-up in NSF funding for K-12 STEM ed: Caps proposals at $750K max for 3 years. Prior cap used to be $5M up to 5 years for some programs. Archives several existing programs (DRK-12, AISL, CSforAll, TD, parts of ECR:Core). Combines into broad program with much lower expected # of awards.

When you compare Chat-GPT and other LLMs to human beings, especially experts and artists, it sucks. When you compare LLMs to Clippy, autocomplete, "if you would like to pay a bill, say 'billing' or press 2," or even Watson on Jeopardy, it's impressive. Absurd overhype is negatively polarizing.

Important SCOTUS cases often have *lots* of ambiguities, in terms of how later courts will interpret its language. Often dissents point out the problems. A student note that tells readers what lower courts have done is often really helpful.

Slalom age 13 I have no rating = the last racer to go off. The course is a rutted mess. But I catch things perfectly and use the ruts as an ice luge. I’m crushing it. At the penultimate gate, I catch a rut and crash, sliding across the finish line in 3rd place. DQ’d because my ski came off.
