Played 2 tournaments of Gundam (learned a lot about the improvements my deck needs), did a room at The Escape Game, and drank cocktails at a speakeasy this weekend. Extremely socially productive. This "start living" thing has really been something

Watching Honey, Don't! and Toxic Avenger last night was a hilarious bundle of silly. Both great movies in their own right, though TA was surprisingly wholesome when judged against its modern peers. The actor behind the presence of Toxie did great work and they dubbed Dinklage mostly well.

I played through the Daemon X Machina Titanic Scion demo over the weekend, and I gotta just ask WHY MECH ON HORSE?! (I do find it hilarious though, since you can Iron Man around for miles or this, besides the obvious fast travel)

I managed to create a routine in the last couple months of renting a house, but with a close friend moving away, it looks like I'm adjusting again. Fridays -- Alamo Drafthouse Saturdays -- Gundam tournaments Sundays -- Football and completing video games 💪
Yeah I make it a point to mention I'll be aware of meta, but the point is to have a good time with what we have. We're all really learning Gundam still, so hopefully you bump into some cooler ppl.

In my experience, the general card gaming community is like that because they're set in their ways, often neurodivergent and lacking social skills despite operating in the social arena. Hopefully you're not limited to one community to check out! I got lucky with a few nice people in my latest stop 🥹

Decided to walk a couple miles today to see a cool food truck stop and arcade bar near me, got a nice lil buzz and enjoyed the scenery
It's really just paying money to pay for...more things to buy, but I really can't wait to go to Bandai Card Games Fest! Undecided if I'll get on the waitlist for one of the tourneys, but we'll see how the next couple games go
