I’m not the one using caps and cursing. Did you vote for the other D candidates on the ballot? Good! You get that politics means hard choices. Voting D can move the lever, but it’s not happening all at once.
It’s a two-part my system for the most part. One of the two is going to win. Not voting doesn’t keep your hands clean, it just shows that your privilege will keep you safe.
Voting is a civic duty, one of the easiest there is. Not voting shows that you feel safe in your privilege.

We got to fascism because the Rs held their noses and voted for whoever the R candidate was, and D voters stayed home. That is literally how we got to fascism. We can get progressive candidates elected and legislation passed, but we need Ds in offices to do it.
If everyone doesn’t help every D get elected, by the simple act of voting, then there may not be elections much longer. It’s not a given that elections and democracy can continue.
By not compromising they help enable the more destructive candidate to win. How do they make use of this humanity, when the world around us all is being destroyed in part due to their inaction?

My doctor is sticking to the "you only need a booster once a year" party line. And she's one of the best doctors in the area, very progressive, still wears a mask in the office. I think she would give me a pass for getting boosted more often, but that's what we're up against.

Eh, no. Moving states is mostly about finances, family, and friends. Moving countries requires the immigration authorities in the other country to allow you enter and stay for longer than a vacation. That’s not at all easy in much of the world.
