I don't watch TV except for my recordings of Jeopardy and the news, (real news broadcasts only!)which has been detailing how much these night-time shows are putting networks in debt. Huge financial losses! Likely, theyll all be gone within a year or so. .

You're failing to see tgat political talk in "entertainment" has gotten old. Many people have tired of it. There are other, more appropriate places to bash Trump. People want entertainment as well as politics crammed down their throats.
The timing is pathetic & suspicious, obviously. But they haven't said what is going to replace it. It might be something similar with a non-political theme which is needed since politics isn't drawing an audience any more. It's hard & unfair to criticize until we see what is going to replace it.
I am really. Since the news broke, latest ratings for the show have been scrutinized. It's down 20%+ in the age group that is most important to advertisers. CBS has a right to make a profit.
His ratings have been falling. Woke is fine until it starts hammering the bottom line. Networks have a right to make a profit regardless of politics, which are best unsaid in an alleged entertainment show.
