I take this as a way to make the suffering of people somewhat understandable to those of us who have been fortunate enough not to be in a war zone. We can't imagine the anguish felt by people who have nowhere to escape. We can't imagine the horror.

SS is at 62 at earliest and you get a reduced amount. Elon’s full retirement age at present would be 67 when he would get his full benefit and if he waits til 70, under current rules his benefit would rise 8% a year for the 3 years from 67. Of course this is probably going to change.
