My father-in-law passed away this summer & just before he went to hospice he told us to text his friend and not call the funeral home directly. I am by no means a college career counselor, but imo students overvalue their major and how it will impact their future careers. I know art history majors who got an MBA. Philosophy majors who are doctors (real ones not those fake PhDs)

The same semester (fall ‘86 I think) there was an American studies class that also had 400 but in 2-200/ppl sections because they didn’t have the space. Almost 1/3 of the campus was in one of those two courses.
I had the opportunity to take the largest class ever at Wes, Rock Music and Rock Film with Neely Bruce. 400 ppl in Crowell Hall
They declare second semester soph yr. I think they get too caught up in a double or even a triple major thus limiting a chance to explore
