I always thought it would be delightful to see a group of dogs playing poker, but when it actually happened in real life, the whole scene was disconcerting. The dogs had human eyes, and their playing cards were decorated with arcane symbols, and the dogs kept growling my name backwards.

With the addition of a new med and changes to my eating, my blood sugars are looking much better, a positive for my eventual top surgery. However, my food/texture aversions are crippling. A tofu meal that I tolerate every day has 1500 calories, but doesn't cause a blood sugar spike. I can't win.

π€π€ My therapist's standing remark on such things is that my defense mechanisms against early childhood sexual and physical abuse kept me alive (I am not the original, DID.) Doesn't make it easier, but having a name for it makes all the difference.
Don't forget it was a "kid's movie".
