I did a brief stint in child protective services early in my career. I didn’t last very long as it was a horrible job & knowing what people did to their kids was just more than I could handle. What goes on behind closed doors is shocking & heart wrenching. I have zero empathy for them.
Hopefully her book will bring exposure to what she endured. You would be shocked at how many registered pedophiles there are in this country. I encountered many of them while working in social work. I always check the sexual predator registry to see how many live around me.
