Morning NOAA P3 flight indicates that Erin’s tilt has precessed upshear and the vortex is better aligned vertically. Deep convection is also forming upshear. These are signals that rapid intensification may be imminent.
Radar data being collected by the NOAA P3 shows Erin’s vortex is still tilted toward the SW. While there is very strong convection, it is mostly displaced to the south of the center. Suggests a central cold cover scene and arrested development for the time being.
