Perhaps you could argue that the reason 70’s comedy is unwatchable now is precisely because it was so successful in lampooning the values of the time and moving everything forward that it left an almost unrecognisable social landscape behind. But that’s probably enough for a Saturday morning … 😃
Sure, viewpoints have moved on over 50 years but show me a more tightly plotted and scripted comedy series than FT.
It seems they went into FY2025 only half-cocked.

This is all very welcome after a long period of uncertainty for #PEB.L with very little news flow. AIM tech stocks have been generally weak recently so let’s hope the TU can give the SP a boost today.
Many AIM tech stocks are weak at the moment eg #CNC.L #CNS.L #SNX.L etc. Buying opportunity?

To me the #MPAC.L warning sounded significantly worse than the #KITW.L I’m surprised they are each down by the same amount (approx. 28%).
The 18% SP drop early doors is rather eye catching. There must have been some very high expectations out there.

Winviz was 5% for the Draw early yesterday. I remember thinking it would have been a great bet at basically 20/1. I didn’t do anything though. Now I’d rather have England at 6/4 I think. All results still possible though.
Empire Metals #EEE.L has continued its stellar ascent. It’s now tripled since my earlier post, passing 30p this morning. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see management take advantage of this with a major fundraising soon to finance project development.
Hard for India to win from here unless the pitch breaks up.
I haven’t told you about the other 4 or 5 falling knives I’ve tried to catch with much less success! #RDT.L, #AVCT.L, #BLU.L, #SCE.L etc. So it’s nice when one does finally work out.

#DORE.L - This is welcome news and hopefully will trigger the huge discounts to NAV prevailing across the renewable IT sector to narrow significantly.
#ORCH.L - I took a punt when the SP was around 20p because management said several times that the company was seriously undervalued and they were therefore looking at ways to take it private. That MBO never happened but the SP nevertheless recovered to 50p, so this is a welcome further boost.
It could well become a takeover target IMO which might provide some pep. There was also mention in the update of returning capital to shareholders. So there is some light on the horizon.
Interims now released. The divestments remain on track but it’s disappointing to see declining revenue in Cyber Security. The market has reacted accordingly. Hopefully the cash received from selling the crypto business can accelerate growth going forward. But a bit underwhelming overall I felt.
I hold #OMG.L Oxford Metrics but have my doubts. Profitability always seems to be just out of sight over the horizon. The main reason I stay invested is that cash accounts for 55% of the market cap (although this % now seems to be shrinking). Time to reconsider perhaps.

A gradual but steady recovery to 155p at the close on high volumes for #DATA.L. No big swings. Hopefully it’s found a floor.
Two suitors have walked away from GlobalData #DATA.L recently and the SP has tumbled accordingly, briefly touching 143p this morning. Falling knives and all that but maybe there is potential for recovery as long as AI and data management remain buzzwords. I’ve bought a few. Risky. DYOR.

I bought a few #MHA.L today at 113p. It’s advancing strongly this morning. I also have good memories of K3 Capital. Let’s just hope that the profits the business makes get shared fairly between MHA partners and us shareholders. That’s always a risk with these professional service firms.

I bought a few at 36p last November. They’ve been underwater for 6 months before suddenly going ballistic. Things like this are starting to happen again on AIM after a long period in the doldrums. Long may it continue!
Cancel that. With the SP breaking 90p this morning it’s up 220% in 6 weeks. It’s no longer a tiddler either with market cap now over £550M.
I’m guessing that this is for one of the big US casino chains in Macau, but #SNX are always very tight lipped about who their clients are. I’ll be visiting Macau next month so will have a nose around. 😃
#ITM.L. Any idea what’s behind the sustained rise in ITM Power recently - up 120% in the last month. There was a series of contract win RNS announcements a while back but the SP strength looks to be more than that.

I find that a lot of shares (AIM in particular) have been steadily rising over the past month or so. It’s always impossible to know whether you should stay on for the ride or take some money off the table whilst the going is good. I think I’m tending towards the latter.

To be honest I never quite understood what the escrow business was although it formed a big part of the company 4 or 5 years ago. I’m also hoping that the interims provide some worthwhile progress. Not too long to wait.

I’ve held #NCC.L for ages. Things look to be on the improve as far as I can see but it’s still a heavily shorted share by all accounts, which is a concern.
Germany was ahead of expectations for #GAMA.L so I guess it was the mildly cautious note about UK trading that has upset the market. Perhaps expectations had got ahead of themselves.
There’s still plenty of time left. #BRBY.L are fully capable of plunging back down again based on previous form!
I find that rather scary. It appears company executives are editing their announcements to make them sound more positive irrespective of the actual news they want to disseminate. And they’re admitting it too.
I’m still trying to work out exactly what this means. Especially the reference to “onboard surveillance systems” which is, after all, the main specialisation of #SNX.L.

#HFEL Henderson Far East is yielding around 12% currently. I’m not sure this yield is sustainable but capital values could appreciate if Asia finds a way to profit from mishaps in the US.
I agree. The next big market move is more likely to be down than up IMO. Trump won’t be able to resist settling an old grudge or trying to act tough in front of his MAGA base for long. I’m taking advantage of this mini rally to boost my cash holdings. Opportunities will soon present themselves.

Alright, I think people knew of the tariff pause and traded it beforehand. You can see before Trump posted "buy" on Truth Social, traders opened $QQQ $TQQQ and $SPY calls RIGHT BEFORE THE NEWS, someone opened $SPY 509 calls, expiring TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those calls are up 2100% in one hour.
Not forgetting the enormous profits that were made from insider trading yesterday in the 10 minutes before the tariff delay announcement went public.
Also, EU will vote on counter measures tomorrow. I wouldn’t be surprised if as well as tariffs on goods they float the idea of some sort of enhanced digital sales tax on Amazon, Google etc. That would really upset the apple cart!
Bought Impax #IPX.L at 126p. The loss of the SJP mandate was known about months ago. I think the SP has fallen too far.

70% of the market cap is cash and its Shire Foods investment is performing well. It’s a shame the shares are so illiquid or I would look to increase my holding.
#SCGL.L had a huge SP spike back in January but has given most of these gains back now. I’m not sure if that article was written before or after that. I know almost nothing about the company. Market cap now below £10M. Definitely a DYOR situation.
#EML.L directors have awarded themselves bonuses for pursuing this litigation as I recall. Does this mean they can now start paying these, or do they come further down the track?

I just sold mine at 718p. They’ve been underwater for me for 6 months so I was pleased to get out with a small gain. But have I sold too soon? Quite possibly.
