That's a valid point, I also don't exactly like that my immediate reaction is the above. I would prefer to make a choice that benefits everyone. But they don't exactly offer the change in system that I want. I have strong socialist views that green doesn't align well enough too imo
Blanket ruling out an entirely new party trying to offer some glimmer of hope that's barely got off its feet is also very absurd. This is exactly what the existing parties of the majority bipartisan system want to happen
But besides that they are not a bad party and I've considered them in the past
Their stance on nuclear power is misinformed, their manifesto wants to increase the proportion solar/wind and stop nuclear. But neither can provide the rotational mass to keep the grid balanced during a sudden change in supply/demand. Nor do we have the land mass to sustain the grid on them alone
Also, we need to start thinking about a party that will make a difference to the entire country, tear up the existing capitalist shit, progress all avenues of LGBTQ+, speed up the nationalisation of infrastructure beyond just trains, and remove landlords from leaching off the people.
I understand that 3rd spaces are not the solution but being non-binary, I would like an option that isn't having to use disabled toilets Also that MP is conservative left, the new party is limited to existing MP's, he doesn't speak for the majority, it's co-led by both Zarah (Pro-Trans) and Corbyn
