Much much better. I finally tested negative today and felt relatively normal. I’m headed back to work tomorrow, but I’m gonna take it easy and not overdo it .
I would definitely take it and get that vaccine ASAP. We have to wait now because we got Covid and I’m worried we won’t have an opportunity when our bodies will let us.

I have been thinking a lot about the fact that the top 10% of Americans now drive 50% of the country's consumer spending (www.marketplace.org/story/2025/0...). This @nytimes.com essay is a great encapsulation of what that means in practice. It's not pretty, and doesn't seem sustainable.

Trumpian fascism hinges on promising men a path to re-establishing that imagined "traditional" order. Daddy Trump will get rid of the job-stealing immigrants and foreign trade so you can get a manly, family-sustaining factory job and attract yourself a woman to mommy you and sexually service you.
Patriarchy teaches people to expect society to be structured like a "traditional" nuclear family at both micro and macro levels. There is an expectation of a society propped up by invisible unpaid feminine labor on the one hand and protected by a violent, dominating patriarch on the other.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Rossiter, who told the stories of the many forgotten and underappreciated women of science. Like many women of her generation, she survived academia by developing a tough exterior, but her support for jr women, myself included, was unwavering. RIP, Margaret.
I have to admit it is relatable behavior.
But by far and away, the biggest priority for a Heritage Foundation-captured CDC is going to be using the agency's legal frameworks for access to medical data, and weaponizing them to control women. *Most* of the Project 2025 plan for CDC is a witch hunt against abortion on an unprecedented scale.

Well, to be honest, no one’s forcing me it’s just that if I didn’t work, my students wouldn’t have had lessons this week. It’s one of those unwritten things about education. And I have good meds and I’m able to get a lot of rest and tomorrow is a video day. 😉
