Food security is at the heart of why I'm in this race: to protect you and your family from the out of touch decision making in Washington, and to make life better for all Iowans.
Thousands are expected to lose food assistance in Iowa and these food banks may not be able to keep up with a new level of demand.
This week I sat down with food security advocates from all over the state. They told me they're continuing to see record levels of demand across Iowa, and that the Republican budget will weaken SNAP-- the backbone of their efforts.
Iowa's Senate race isn't about right versus left. It's about serving Iowans versus corporate donors. I know who I stand with.

Former National President of the United Mine Workers, John L. Lewis was born right here in Lucas, Iowa – and was one of organized labor's fiercest fighters. It's up to us to continue his legacy. That includes sending a pro-labor champion to the United States Senate.
Everywhere I go, I hear the same thing: Costs are going up, and corruption is getting worse. Iowans are tired of the B.S. And next year, we're going to flip this seat, flip the Senate, and deliver a new generation of leadership.
