There are so many gull shots available in our neighborhood I get a bit tired of them, but this one was funny enough to put to use.
She was amazing. I swear she could read my mind! I still miss her so very much and likely will forever. I probably could have posted a dozen pictures of her every day of this week.... if I hadn't been somewhat out of commission. (Still recovering.) But at least the snow white contrast was the best.

I remember that thrill when I first moved to your area, after growing up in a big city back East. It was exhilarating! I think I did start to miss seasons after awhile though. Then the cost of living did me in. Moving to the Sierra foothills was another sort of heaven!
My Sweetie lived in NM for awhile. We went back to some of his old haunts. It certainly does have its special charm, but never in summer! 🔥The coast is my 1st love, then a toss up between desert and forests and mountains... depending on weather! Not necessarily in that order.

Definitely not a freak. You save yourself a whole lot of trouble down the road. I just get impatient and have a really hard time deciding which to keep, which to toss. Indecision is my nemesis! 🥴 I'm sure you can't imagine the time I'm having culling the many thousands I'm trying to sort through NOW
I tried that setting on my camera but ended up with too MANY shots that were tedious to sort and pick through. I simply didn't have the patience to compare and delete (my bad). Now I'm stuck trying to pare down the number of very similar shots of photos. It's nearly unmanageable, but must be done! 🥴
I can't get over the crisp detail you get of these tiny little critters who don't sit still for the likes of me. You must have the patience of a saint!!! 😇

Just you wait... today I came across a bunch of pictures I took on our trip up in the Olympic Peninsula.... trees and more trees and lots of moss... All from one of my favorite trips over there just across the water from you (I'm guessing.)

I imagine the waiting has to be hard. at least it always is for me! we just went through a really rough move recently and it was extra hard given my age (81). lots of stuff catching up to me as the years pile on, but I'm doing better than lots of folks my age. zen is fine... or as Alan H. says: zs!
