Mario is exactly right that it depends when you played them for when they had an impact on you. VII for me, I'd never come across anything remotely like it with its cinematic story and dieselpunk setting rather than fantasy. Massive impact on me, my favourite game of all time still today

I absolutely love your art and have done for a couple of years, I came across it because FF7 is my favourite game. That might even be the point I started following artists properly that's eventually led me to where I am now! So I really love seeing your sketches and rough work like this!
I wanted to and started learning to draw 20 years ago, but some people in my life also abused me for it and so I stopped. It's only now 20 years later that I'm picking up the pencil properly for the first time so I really relate to this 🧡

Me too! I bounced off Persona 3 or maybe 4 originally, but Persona 5 really got me after Catherine. Such a unique game and I really like the small feature of showing what proportion of players picked which moral decision options at the end of each level

Oh! My favourite Megadrive/Genesis game was Landstalker, which is a sort of isometric Zelda-like. The main character, Nigel, has a wood nymph companion called Friday, she's *very* similar to Gallica from Metaphor. There's almost no official art AFAIK, just the western and eastern box art here
Any of the Final Fantasy heroines up to FFIX would be an obvious choice, for something a little more obscure there's Feena from Grandia who has a fun, pretty 90s character design. Though too young canonically for a schmexy artwork I guess.

I'm also following Gatan's 5 step colouring course on Coloso. First attempt at using it following along from her example in the chapter it's introduced. The highlight isn't at all right but I'm mostly happy with the rest, though I need to practice blending a lot more.
