Ubuntu had a similar problem after I installed it. Grub's auto discover and initial self-configuration added 2 lines that caused a major startup error every time I booted the system. Still, it beats the hell out of the Windows 11 AI Spyware dumpster fire.
100% agree. It took me a few days to iron out the issues on a brand new Ubuntu install. It runs amazing now, but some hardware just does not get supported or the drivers need tweaking post install.
Unfortunately and also most infuriatingly some HOAs do not allow any solar installations. Especially the big rich gated communities that can afford it and would be most beneficial to have it.

I am waiting to build a new workstation level machine. Can't do it as long as GPUs are so stupidly expensive. Other parts too. My next build will have 64gb, maybe 128gb of RAM. I am running more and more virtualization and my dev environment is all sandboxed in VirtualBox. The need for RAM grows.
