I hate that the holidays I celebrate are days off for everyone, even when they don't celebrate, but my Jewish and Muslim friends have to take PTO. If you're in HR, an easy solve for this is to give floating holidays as a benefit. My work gives us 12/year (one day per month) to use whenever.

I hate asking for help, but I'm met with an unavoidable need to reach out atp. We haven't had hot water for a year. The hot water system is about 30 yrs old & needs to be replaced. All the copper piping is corroded. The main water line also needs to be redone. Any help is life changing.
