I’m afraid you don’t understand the concept of evidence. You’ve raised another unsubstantiated claim of “hundreds of thousands” to try to justify an unevidenced claim that “millions” would come. If you cannot discuss correctly, get off my timeline.
Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social) reply parent
The former. Your claim sounds very much like the Faragists’ one of “millions will come”. I trust you have the evidence to substantiate it?
Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social) reply parent
On what grounds do you”expect” these millions to come?
Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social) reply parent
I’d go with “a Big Arse” lawyer

Are your officials too busy to decide asylum claims quickly? Too stretched to arrange cheap accommodation, so thousands languish in expensive, but grotty, hotels? Then why not task them to stop asylum-seekers having their hair cut? www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

So many factual errors here. MP claims to be supported by the majority opinion-false. MP claims “unfair because asylum seekers haven’t paid in”-where else is she to keep them? MP claims UK has no control of borders-false again. Appalling
Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social)
When our MPs claim to know “the majority opinion” without any reference to statics to validate this, I despair. Where did this MP get the idea that the majority of the UK think fair treatment of asylum seekers is wrong?

Your post failed to understand that foreign students subsidise loss-making UK students. You blame teachers for mis-advising students about future pathways. You flip from one argument to another. I’m certainly not your *mate*. I wish to hear no more of this pie in the sky.

Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social) reply parent
You’re now blaming teachers for “pushing kids to A-levels”. I don’t believe you know what you’re talking about. First it’s too many going to Uni, next it’s objecting to foreign students, after that it’s raising taxes. Then it’s building Voc Ed institutions.
Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social) reply parent
Only wasting if you don’t value Uni education. Setting A-levels as a gold standard relegates vocational ed to second place. What’s your plan to deal with that?
Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social) reply parent
Tried again and again. Never materialised. Expense? Whilst ministers push A-levels, Tech Ed suffers
Ian Garrow (@4242bb.bsky.social) reply parent
