I'm aware that's what you wrote and that's how it is, but that's not what I was asking about. I was asking about what they'd have a stroke about in Brian's quote of the article. Or was it the article itself they'd have a stroke about?

This is not the AI boom creating a new type of work, this is a classic example of managers using automation to deskill old ones. Creative workers who once made a higher wage creating original art and writing are now paid in piecework to edit automated output. Bosses are using AI to cut labor costs.

Security #webcomic #krita #miniFantasyTheater

A comic in four panels. Panel 1. A sorcerer is standing in front of the closed main gate of a tall and dark castle. The guard, on the wall of the castle, shouts: > Guard: Halt, stranger! Do you have the password? > Sorcerer: Yes, it's DarkLord123! Panel 2. Zoom on the guard, shouting another test: > Guard: What about the security code sent to your address? > Sorcerer: Oh yes, I have that: 75482. Panel 3. The guard now hangs a big poster, absurd: there is on it a picture of a horse on a landscape, but it is split into many squares. The laser wand of the sorcerer selects all the squares with horses. > Guard: Now, use your magic to show me all the squares with horses. Good. Panel 4. Shot of the sorcerer, visibly very bored by all these tests, opening his mouth. > Guard (off-panel): Finally, prove that you're an adult by closing and opening your mouth. > Sorcerer: Really?... This comic strip is a critique of the too many security steps in 2025: login/password, 2FA security code, captchas, and adult verification via webcam expression.

Cookies #webcomic #krita #miniFantasyTheater

A comic strip in four panels: 1. An adventurer kneels on a path, facing a small cookie with tiny arms and legs. The creature looks miserable and is crying while looking at the ground. The adventurer is concerned for the little being. > Adventurer: Oh... What’s wrong, my little fellow? 2. Close-up of the little cookie lifting its head, eyes still teary. > Cookie: Well, I’m a little cookie, but no one accepts me anymore... 3. With a kind heart and to comfort it, the adventurer picks it up in her hand and says in a motherly tone. > Adventurer: Come on, I accept you. Climb onto my back. 4. Wide shot of the path, our adventurer with the little cookie on her shoulder walking towards the horizon, both happy with their encounter. In the foreground, among the grass at the edge of the path, a small army of fierce cookies with camouflage makeup emerges. Their leader whispers the order: > Cookie Leader: Alright, guys, she took the bait! Let’s track her down!

Faulty Google DMCA request takedowns are happening to 404Media and other news sources, scientific papers etc. on behalf of people who aren't in any way mentioned or shown in the material that's taken down. Louis explains what it means to be a Clippy! A lot of people don't know what all of these Clippy images is about and think it's merely virtue signaling, but no. It's about pushing back again anti-consumer/user practices and saying no IF or WHEN you can. Not everybody have the same possibilities.

Cut together a quick timelapse of the snuffed character art I did last night. It looks manic because I have compulsions to do too much in the same file and move whatever I am working on all over the canvas like a maniac.

I was purely talking about functionality in this specific example. That the data it runs on is scraped, pirated and taken from all over without consent and compensation is a whole other expansive can of worms. My pinned post focuses on how scrapers are passing on extra costs to website owners.

"Blueskyism" helped make The Onion one of the largest newspapers in the world in less than a year. If we had spent all of our time on Twitter, we'd be poorer, dumber and terminally ill with internet poisoning. He's just angry he's wasting away over there in a nazi agnostic lane that doesn't exist.

Sorry to the bearer of bad news. I've been focusing on this specific problematic for a while now, because not only are they stealing from artists and other creators. They are also leaving them massive traffic bills. I've been keeping a thread documenting examples I came across here on Bsky.

Look into Anubis and/or Cloudflare on top of robots.txt. Many of the big players don’t respect robots.txt or even hire third-party botnets to perform mass scraping of sites (lots of individual IPs, hard to block)

So, this isn't my reactionary conclusion. It's not my opinion. I'm not being woke or virtue signaling. The vast majority of independent research, journalism, and analysis from the most equipped individuals and groups on earth agree that... let me state it clearly: Israel is committing genocide.

Judging from the last few days of vitriolic comments and messages, it seems that me referring to Israel's occupation and blockade of Gaza as "genocide" is quite controversial and I've even been accused of antisemitism. So let me explain myself: 🧵 I didn't just decide this based on my own feelings.
