This is not the AI boom creating a new type of work, this is a classic example of managers using automation to deskill old ones. Creative workers who once made a higher wage creating original art and writing are now paid in piecework to edit automated output. Bosses are using AI to cut labor costs.

Alternatively to blocking, why not use the "limit who can interact with your posts" feature? So it's only followers or people you follow. That might break the worst knee-jerk reactions from people. I totally get if you don't want to set that limit on your posts though. However, Meta and X doesn't-

Did you read the article? This has nothing to do with pirating or buying products. It's about OnlyFans account owners who's had their content leaked onto the web and are now using bureaus that uses faulty AI filters to have DMCA takedowns of news sources, blogs etc. that has nothing to do them.

Faulty Google DMCA request takedowns are happening to 404Media and other news sources, scientific papers etc. on behalf of people who aren't in any way mentioned or shown in the material that's taken down. The companies who does it, do minimal human error checking but otherwise shrugs at the issue.

YW. I saw someone I followed share a post from X with the original photo and his upscaled version yesterday and that's how I knew this one was the upscaled one. If you look at his USA hat there's weird red pixels in the S, there wasn't in the OG image.

Hey, I'm just writing to let you know that this video is problematic. The whole "no hair" etc. is because the image he uses is one that's been AI upscaled and it made his hair look like he has a chunkier neck than he actually does. You can't enhance an image like that. It doesn't work like in CSI.

This is something I've tried to do myself ever since I was made aware how many artists don't get near the reach, shares, comments or likes that repost pages who posts their work get. The result for smaller artists who see their work gain popularity, but doesn't get any benefits from it give up.

If you want to weed out once in a while I can recommend having the feed "Followers" and check it once in a while. 😅 Just caught this beauty by doing so. Checking his feed first to see it's a one off and then yeet him onto my blocklist. It's pretty easy to spot too, because they are usually spammy.

I will note that this doesn't just lead to people in engineering being awful and callous: it leads to them being *bad engineers*. Look into Anubis and/or Cloudflare on top of robots.txt. Many of the big players don’t respect robots.txt or even hire third-party botnets to perform mass scraping of sites (lots of individual IPs, hard to block)
