The United States has seen 291 mass shootings in 2025. That’s more than one mass shooting every day. This isn’t normal. Weapons of war don’t belong on the streets. We need real action to save lives.

A Day in the Life
Look, I just want a president who isn't at war with everyone and everything, everyday - but if he wants war, I expect the people who represent me in government to make it their business to fight it, vigorously, competently and unceasingly. Those are my thoughts on politics today in a nutshell.

I'm out of DC and a 65-ish black guy saw my DC plates and commented on the national guard presence. He told me he was a cop for 25 years and very pro law enforcement, but hates what they're doing with the National Guard in DC. Really hasn't hit elite media how broadly unpopular this stuff is.

The balance works well on days when I manage to do both. Less time but more energy in the morning is better for disciplined practice, which leaves the evening, with more time but maybe less energy, for slower but more creative noodling.
Recently, I’ve gotten myself into the routine of picking up a guitar or bass for a half hour BEFORE I go to work, in case I’m too exhausted after work and whatever else I have to do. That’s how much I don’t enjoy it 😂
Any given day on which life’s responsibilities prevent me from picking up an instrument at all makes me feel like my heart is breaking. This Mikey person knows nothing.
