Never been married Never had roommates I guess those are "normal" things for old fuckers like me
Never had roommates either! (Unless you count the girlfriend who became my wife)
I don’t think I’ve ever actually dated in the way people usually use that word to mean. Both long term relationships I’ve had started out as very good friendships that one day just clicked into something else and immediately became a “couple” thing.

Yikes So sorry to hear this. The older I get, the more I realize how I won the lottery when it comes to parents. They've always been loving, supportive and continue to grow and surprise me.
I'm only a little bit bitter about it. But I realize that all the other crappy parts of my upbringing are incidental to the fact that my parents were not interested in being parents.
You deserve so much better than what this world has given you so far. Hugs.
