The problem on editing is that no model right now can actually handle large amounts of text. Claude kind of does.

It’s funny how the best AI applications are features and not really main things. Like it can transcribe video. It can organize a spreadsheet. Generative fill is good. None of that makes the capex acceptable.
Very good at “hey I need to make a spreadsheet that does this that I will use as a public link thing. Can you make the spreadsheet and then generate a first draft of the instructional email” but these are all things I can do. When people are like “it’s changing the way I think about things,” confuse

Every time I see someone speak confidently about AI, I wonder if they have used the tools they are describing.
People are saying “systems that will use AI” and you should know that saying “systems that will use Math” is an equally clear sentence. AI can be an image model run locally on a colonoscopy camera to flag abnormalities. AI can be Chat GPT. They are extremely different.
All good questions. I recently asked ChatGPT to create a reading plan for me to help me get a 101 understanding of philosophy. 6/12 of the books were made up.
To your point; will an eventual communication device for “locked in” patients have a LLM? Probably. Does that really matter right now? Probably not
I am researching a book for AI ethics for the Church right now. The inexactness of language around this stuff is also frustrating. AI is a decision tree algorithm that sorts email. AI is also a chat bot. They are completely different beasts. You know?
