Then being clear that this space is an adult space and they might see something that is not meant for them should be enough. At that point, the kid has an actual choice because they have somewhere else to go. Trying to corral and control their every move is just treating them like shit tbh
I honestly think proper labeling should be enough. If the kids have a place to go (one where they get to tell what it needs and how it works and it's not just adults making what they think a kid should want and need)...
It's no coincidence every single time this comes up it affects primarily LGBTQ people, sex workers, and any sort of "political" movement they disagree with.
It's worthwhile to keep children in mind when building our society. This moral panic is not that. It's just bigots making choices in the name of the imaginary children they always use as a shield. its saying "we don't want kids to grow to be like these people, we should make them stop existing!"
Also, yeah that is purity culture. When you use kids as a symbol for purity and demand everything is arranged in ways that protect that imagined purity... You're doing purity culture. The whole point is not keeping kids away from harm, it's punishing the impure. Gahhhh

Apologies for not updating sooner, it's been...a struggle. To summarize; I was recently hospitalized twice over a GI bleed causing anemia alongside catching covid. I'm currently to meet with a GI doctor. I also need further imaging & to resume physical therapy but can't afford transportation costs

Maybe I'm just doing it wrong lmao I got into acrylics with the same idea but I just can't make them opaque. At least not when you have a darker base.
Although admittedly I have done very little gouache. Most of my traditional media experience is in oils but I can't use them much cause I'm real messy and getting things with names like "titanium white" on your skin/face is not super good for you I think 🥲
It's like a mix between oils and gouache, really. i like being able to do precise mixing and then use it as wash. On the other hand, it never really goes 100% opaque so if you don't protect your lights you're done for.

I don't know if it's sadder to think they're just trolling and trying to nag art they dislike, or just paranoid about AI to the point where they believe anything they think "looks weird" is enough to throw that kind of accusation around.
Not that anyone has to care about it, but there's no better way to make me sad than getting the (thankfully sporadic) "I think this is AI" comment on the art for the book.
Almost every trans person who publicly comes out quickly hears from a number of other closeted trans people in their lives. Suddenly, you understand how much every estimate drastically undercounts us, and you learn the importance of visibility when so many of us never get to truly live.
The thing to keep in mind is that "productivity gains [...] come from layoffs and squeezing more work" was already the case before AI. The only difference is now these practices can be blamed on the immortal god king in the machine and not the executives who are doing the actual layoffs
