But that being the case, I see a split in the vote as an inevitable consequence of where the Corbyn Party currently is. And to think all they had to do to avoid that was say something about trans rights and not let transphobes be part of the core membership.
There's probably still going to be people who will vote for the Corbyn Party over the Greens, probably still a lot of leftists actually, because it won't matter to them what Polanski has to offer because like I said the only thing they give a shit about is finally making Corbyn Prime Minister.
At this rate, with Polanski as leader the Greens stand to benefit from disaffected leftists frustrated by both the Labour Party in its current state and Corbyn's new DOA party, who the Greens are in a position to embarrass simply by actually saying something about trans rights and transphobic.

Some people defended the Corbyn Party's official silence on trans rights on the grounds that they "need to present something that can't be attacked by the right" or something to that effect. If that's true, then their attempt to control how they are perceived by the Right has ended up with this.
