oh yeah and the main feature was that the character was nose based. I figured there'd be a lot of big nosed characters so I went with function over form

What I love about BotB is that it's usually an hour challenge. How can you expect to make super finished art with that? YOU CAN'T. And that means finding short cuts or just sketching the gesture or idea of what you could do fully later whether it's musical or graphic. I highly encourage you to join
Periodic one hour challenges at Battle of the Bits include making pixelart from music. The song used was "Dreams Never Leave" by a young musician under the handle Bravoman. It was ridiculously good and gave me the impressions of dreams coming to us and having us join them #PixelArt #animated

Context: my favorite pastor would always throw in a prayer asking God to help us forget needless worries. I genuinely believe wrestling does this. The medium is harsh and calls for a great deal of sacrifice but they still do their job and help people forget needless worries for a few hours with it.

I was in the way. The audience AUDIBLY all groaned as the action stopped for a sec. They continued doing their thing, complete with Dez doing a wall run back flip like some denizen from a perpendicular dimension and were brilliant performers but oh boy did that botch on my part suck
One time Dezmond Xavier and Rich Swann (I think their first match one on one) were fighting outside in the crowd. I felt like all the photographers had grouped together and so, when I thought it was safe, to run to the other side, that's when Rich was going to irish whip Dez against the wall.
I've been drawing all my life. A few months ago, I worked with a local concert group and they needed a poster. I volunteered. Showed them a quick thumbnail, and then cranked out a fairly easy (to me at least) poster about 30 min. They chided me for using AI. I've never used Gen AI

Scale? Bubsy was ported to multiple platforms, had TV ads, a failed pilot. Jazz Jackrabbit, at the time, was just shareware on the PC. And while Bubsy did adopt a gun in the second game, he took pains to make it clearly a nerf gun (so probably cross promotional funding) to be non violent

A lot was invested into the original Bubsy games but the problem was that the games were still awful and the media ventures just made no sense. It seemed like a blatant misunderstanding of what made Sonic work at the time. Them being self aware actually makes the charm work on me now to be curious

I'm so sorry, you came in 7th. I probably would have made a distinction based on how similar they look. For example (even though I was avoiding TV wrestlers) Demolition or the Road Warriors would be fine as a single but Shawn Michaels and Diesel would have been too distinct to draw together

I have no sympathy for ppl whose pitch for AI is that they wouldn’t be able to make art without it, as they’re ultimately advocating for a world where all art for all time is owned by like five nazis whose server farms are killing marginalized people, but also we were promised *time*, not slop.
