All that "winning". Trump is succeeding in side-lining the US and abdicating its leadership in international affairs. Given his rather obtuse view of the world, it's not a good thing.
Honestly, it looks like he aged about half a dozen years. My hunch is, something happened recently.
The US government is being underhanded because it KNOWS it is breaching the law. This is nothing more than guilty behavior. Knock down the laws to get your stuff done, but from then on, behind which laws will anyone shelter since none of these laws are left standing? This applies to everyone.
I wouldn't rule it out. Americans from predominantly blue states still value civility, knowledge and the rule of law. There's some advantage for Canada in this. But on our terms: you need to start spelling "neighbours" properly, and stop counting 5,280 feet in one mile.
Please call your rep to demand that Citizens United be voted down. It harms human citizens.
What is scarier is that the world is moving on without the US. New teams are forming, and the US will sooner or later be out of play. Trump has to go. Ditto for his band of miscreants.

Definitely. This "defund the CBC" nonsense is a HUGE red flag. PP's approach: complain that the CBC are biased (against him, of course, even if it's factually wrong). Then use that ground to rage-farm and argue for de-funding "in the public interest". Meanwhile the Toronto Sun is just peachy.

Agreed. It seems to be a lot of people are poor judges of character. THAT matters more in choosing a leader, than anything else.
Under Trump, the United States is going back to the nineteen-fifties, and clawing its way back up later on will be well nigh impossible. Not that I'm entirely comfortable with it, but the XXIst Century will be China's. The US is toast. I wish it were different.
And kissing a flag for show doesn't mean Trump is patriotic or well-intentioned. Actions matter more than hollow gestures.
