Which program was this? I’d like to hear the context. I heard him on the radio today and didn’t pick up on this at all

You can’t really compare the two, football contracts and transfers don’t really equate to employment. It’s a specific trade with specific practices and governing rules. Also it’s not about a promotion, career move or pay rise, it’s about going to another company.

I’m not sure Brentford wouldn’t think it will hold water, more likely they feel Wissa isn’t go take pursue it. Lot of money at stake, not often these matters will be pursued legally.

We do know nothing was written down and agreed, so in effect no promise given. We know they’ll have talked about it, Mitchell may have said something, but his agent should have got it in writing straight away. Bit different if the clubs have confirmed the agreement in writing
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
How do you know he won’t show the written proof? He’s not going to put that in a statement. Have Brentford denied it’s true?
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
If he has a written agreement that they will let him go with an offer of ‘c’ amount doesn’t that override the contract?
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
On the face of it I do feel a bit sorry for Wissa, he’s agreed a written contract with the club, and then Brentford have broken that agreement and let public think it’s the other way round. if that isn’t the case you would expect Brentford to come out and say he’s lying

I don’t think Mainoo is an improvement on Miley or JJ. Mainoo is another development player, Fratessi would be much better back up

Is Strand Larsen still possible?

Article 17 doesn’t apply. This is complete rubbish
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
I’m not sure I understand the big deal with the socials. It is literally just social media. Doesn’t compare in the slightest to not training and not playing.
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s only Instagram. It’s nothing compared to refusing to play. It would be better if the players came out and made a statement. But telling whoever runs their Insta to remove the link to Brentford isn’t too bad in the grand scheme of it all

Where people singing ‘we want ‘are’ country back’?
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
Isak refused the contract re-negotiation. Him and his agent are trying everything to force the move. Not sure what NUFC should be doing differently? Can’t train with the team if he doesn’t want to play. And players need some sanctions if they decide not to train or play.
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
If at any point someone had offered 150 he would have gone. he’d likely still go if someone offered 150, but there are no real replacement options. If LFC hadn’t have gone in for Ekitike, Isak would be a Liverpool player by now. No fuss. All the chat should have ended there until the next window

I thought we had moved on and signed Thiaw?

I don’t think it’s about Palace having to sell, but could be good business for them. In recent windows Newcastle have been very tight lipped about ongoing deals. It does seem odd that there’s been so much in the press, admittedly that could be down to the new staff and Amanda’s absence
andytyson.bsky.social (@andytyson.bsky.social) reply parent
Isn’t it Palace deliberately talking to the press, trying to get more bidders involved?
